Standoff Films was launched in 2014, when we released our first film Campsfiled House: An Immigration Removal Centre.
Since then we have made a number of short videos about events inside UK immigration detention centres – assaults by guards, protests by detainees, hunger strikes. These videos are made in response to calls from within detention centres, channelled to us through personal contacts or via a network of people organising around immigration detention. You can watch all our videos here.
In the future we plan to make engaged documentaries about other social and political situations outside of immigration detention centres.
